I feel your pain! Mine is 16 Weeks, 300hr course and 850 miles behind the wheel. Now, I'm still active duty Air Force so I have to work durning the day, and go to school at night and on the weekends. Usually, this is an 8 week course.wulfman75 Thanks this. -
$2750.00 of which the state is covering all thru a displaced worker program. Not WIA. I'm out of pocket around $250.00 for processing fee, MVR check, Dot physical, and pepe test. I was a Roofing contractor and those **** hurricanes in '04 wiped out my market.

Well I guess if its being paid for you can't look a gift horse in the mouth!

Nope. 7am-2pm M-F for 10 weeks with the exception of some night drive time. I figure I'm gonna burn about $500.00 in gas making all those trips but I get to sleep in my own bed at the casa. So I'm very happy.wulfman75 Thanks this.

It's definitely nicer being at home while going through school. You'll have fun though. I loved school! You will meet some interesting individuals too!

So tell us about it Wulfman. Where are you going to school? How many hours? What's the cost? How long is your school gonna take? Who've you got in mind as a future employer? Come on dude, spill the beans! Inquiring minds wanna know!

Wow this thread grew quick.

Ok I'm going to a Tech school so it's 8 weeks long. M-Th 8-4
Keep in mind I'm still working 3rd shift as I can't afford to be unemployed for 8 weeks so it's going to be some long days, but I should get use to that right.
I got the Hope Grant so they'll pay the 5k tuition and I pay around $200 for the fuel fee and a couple other fees. Can't beat that deal.
So I'm ready to get going. Still gotta do my Dot physical and I'm all set.
