LOL. Polock said he ran into you, and you wooden coined him. Polock has forgotten more about trucking than you and i will ever learn. Although gruff in appearence (lol, i mean rustic) he tells it like it is to anyone ,including those with acronyms preceding their names, and everyone. That's what i like about him and why I consider him my best friend out here. Heck best friend period. just popped in to see what I'd missed over the past couple of weeks.

After hearing and reading bout your latest episode in Pittsburg, instead of Jim the Hut, you should go by PB&J (Pittsburg and Jim) lol just kiddin. Also wasn't surprised to hear about other drivers thinking about noone other than themselves and holding up the loading line by completely securing and tarping while others were forced to wait. There aren't many drivers that are considerate of others and even think of getting out of the way so another driver can load, or unload for that matter. I'm sure you've seen those that back in to del something and when they pull out of the building every board, bungee, etc is stowed and they just roll out without even a nod hello. If you can think of a polite way of saying "Get the bleep outta the way so others can load" let me know. I have gone into places and helped secure and/or tarp just to speed up the process. Usually I ask if they want a hand before touching any of their bungees or whatever. Or will take note of how they are securing and mirror it, but did have one driver say that he waited for _____ hours so can everyone else. What a putz. Forgive and forget and for every one driver that refuses help, there are 10 that will accept your offer.

Just a thought for anyone who's having problems with their locks freezing or getting filled with grit and grime but since you end your day with a post trip inspection (walkaround) and begin the next day with a pretrip (at minimum a walk around) why not put your locks on at post trip, and take them off during your pretrip? while going down the road keep em latched with a bungee?

If expecting freezing rain or ice at nite, plastic sandwich bag w a rubber band or if your the crafty type, some reusable leather, or fabric pouches with a drawstring top to keep most of the ikkies out?

Coupla things: 1. OOPS did i goof? are you treestand? and 2. As far as totally anonymous, "papa bear" Steve Lee at one time during a driver council meeting did suggest a suggestion box at all of the terminals.

Since the "i'm gonna smile at you when your looking at me and call safety when you turn around" blackhats gave the program a bad name, it seems very few drivers will even come up to chat with you if you have your "hush hat" on. The blackhats on the drivers council are "the eyes and ears on the road" and are supposed to talk with other drivers to see if they wish to have anything brought up at the next meeting. So tell them or call Mama Kay, tell her about this post and ask for my number and i'll get your thoughts or ideas to a currently seated member. Heck Mama Kay can do that as well.

Guess thats enough of a challenge you MAVERICKS!

Since I'm posting on a truckers board I kinda figure that is a given. But I forgot you Mav-Bots aren't allowed to think for yourselves :biggrin_2559:

You flatter me I'm just a trucker, but in answer to your question Yes I have, that is how I know your full of crap! Is that what Maverick is programming you to think? Typical Mav-bot response.
