disgruntled assimilatee?
-
Not disgruntled at all.....I find all the Mav-Bots in these threads very entertaining. I've never seen so many people try so hard to convince themselves that the some
POS company
with a new group of hires every week at the company's OWN motel is somehow the elite place to be.
-
Good money, good hometime, good company. They treat drivers with respect if you can make the grade. I have seen several complain about them. Usually goes like this. It is their fault they fired me. I only hit 6 different objects. Hey so what if I only avg 5 mpg. Be on time? You got to be kidding me. There ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do. I need to shower and brush my teeth????
-
Johnny, You sure sound disgruntled to me, at the very least you have a bad attitude toward Maverick and Maverick drivers. I don't know how long you have been trucking but there are very few companies that don't have a new orientation class every week, having the motel on site makes it a lot more proficient and economical. I've been trucking for the better part of 25 years and I can tell you this, though they are not perfect for an OTR company Maverick is one of the best out there. FYI, I'm not a Maverick driver.
dollylama, TNspeedy and notarps4me Thank this. -
What a cry baby! Is your life so empty that the only thing you have time to do is come on this board and take shots at people that enjoy working for Maverick?
This is a job and Maverick is a company...plain and simple.
I have worked for fortune 500 companies and I have found them to be more professional and have a better attitude towards their drivers than a lot of them do.
So why don't you go start your own thread on this board and quit bothering us...you can call it "I am a sour puss" or something like that!
-
Look here Jimmy...I made a initial post that wasn't directed at you or Maverick. It was merely in a Maverick thread and the first thing you have to do is jump in and start making personal attacks..That makes me think you are the child here..So I would suggest that you need to do some growing up..

As far as bothering you goes..What's wrong? Don't you want these innocent newbies to hear the flip side of Maverick? That it's possibly not the haven you try to make it out to be? Isn't that what this forum is for?? OH Wait!! That might cut into the referral bonus huh?? You need them to believe your and Mavericks hype don't you?
Finally...I could really care less where anybody works.. If your happy and getting paid more power to you. But I've said before and I'll say it again. Maverick is not some elite group! They are a run of the mill and newbies be warned.. It is not what your being led to believe on these boards.
You will see that if you go to orientation.. If you pay attention you will notice the programming subtly begin..
Merry Christmas to All -
Your initial comment was a slam at Maverick drivers because we have automatic transmissions. You fired the first shot.
As far as a referral bonus, I have never received one nor will I probably ever...and that is fine. It is not the reason I post here.
It seems that the only person that is run of the mill is you.
When I make a decision on something that I do not like, I just walk away and move on. You for some reason want to try to deter someone else from doing what you either could not do or chose not to do. Which is fine.
Maverick is not for everyone. There are plenty of other companies out there to choose from. But I talk to everyone I come in contact with out there and compare notes. From all the information that I have gathered on this forum and in the day to day operations out there....I do not see where I could have done any better than Maverick.
Good Pay
Good Home Time
Good Equipment
Good Support
Fix My Truck When It Breaks
Got Me Home For Emergencies
Got Me Home When Requested.
Treat Me Professionally And Respectfully.
Pay is always accurate and on time
Over $1300 in fuel bonus.
Fuel when and where I want at any Pilot or Flying J or other designated fuel stops on our list.
Pick my own route to travel. Not dictated to me.
Now go ahead and tell me what is wrong with any of the above and name me one company that can do better than that? I am sure there are companies that do just as well, but you can not do better than the above unless they are getting more miles than me.
So you can just keep on spewing your negative on here and I will just keep coming back with what the truth is.
Everyone can see that you are ticked off because Maverick did not work out for you and see it for what it is!
As far as being elite, I will say this. We are as well trained if not better than any other flat bed company out there. I see the improperly secured loads by some of the companies out there. I have people come up and ask me how to secure a coil because they were never shown how to. I see the tarps flapping in the breeze going down the highway with the loads getting wet because they were not tarped properly.
I see it all the time.
I see the guys backing into docks on a down hill grade with no securements on a coil that is loaded suicide (eyes to the side.)
I consider it an honor and a Blessing to be working for Maverick!
God has blessed me with this job and I thank Him and Praise Him for it!
God Bless You and I hope you find what you are looking for. -
Where is Maverick mentioned here???
If I choose to give my opinion which I rarely do, it is my right and what these boards are for..Yours is not the only truth..
I give them an alternate and very real possibility, what they choose to do with it is up to them
And you did ask for someone to email you they're information before so you could submit it for a referral bonus
I wish you continued happiness and a Merry ChristmasLast edited: Dec 24, 2010

You posted it on a Maverick thread Genius!
And I did once or twice quite a while ago mention about the referral...I would be crazy to pass up free money...but none came and that was the end of it. But I have met drivers that are with Maverick now and have thanked me for these posts and how it helped them make their decision.
You are welcome to post your negative comments as I do not own the board or thread...and I am welcome to refute anything that you say.
So who are you driving for now? How much time do you have behind the wheel as a professional driver? How much time did you spend at Maverick to make you an expert on them? Just curious!
