Round 2: Gawd this burns me up....C.L. is out buying the naming rights for some new sports venue and his drivers are asked to pay for DEF. What's next? Make his lease payments on his power?

I say if we allow this that we open the door to setting a dangerous precedent. The carrier will lean ( like a child ) to expect this from all drivers. I hear Prime drivers pay for refer fuel. WTF? It's not their load !

There's a tank carrier here that makes co. drivers buy the hoses and fittings, and I guess....if your stupid enough....and even my guy....tried to make co. drivers pay a fee for washouts.... that lasted about 5 minutes.......

I don't know drivers...I just don't know. You do what you want but it will be a cold day in hell when I loan a major corporation money to operate.

I wonder if the drivers could legally charge interest on these pay outs?.... say 18%?

It is common practice by companies to not allow purchase of additives on their fuel cards.

It is their policy to have the driver buy the additives as well.

The last company I worked for told me that and I told them if they want an additive in their truck, they supply it. I was not their bank.

No. They decided to supply it though.

We parted ways because they wanted illegal running and changing the log book.

I returned back to the hotshot that I left when the freight was slow.
