Just passed my road test. On my way to orientation January 4. I'm an Industrial Electrician who had a good job at a company that is down on it's luck. Too many layoff's, no advancement opportunity and not enough recognition; time to look at other pastures! I hope the new life is greener.
I'm used to working solo and making my own decisions to get a job done, I have the good hand eye coordination and forward thinking I'm told I'll need in this job. Great moral and work ethics, I'm healthy and my family is behind me. All I need now is some good old advice and mentoring!

    WELCOME!

    Trucking...

    Advancement opportunity? Nope..
Not enough recognition? Certainly not here...

Yea, I got neither in my last full time job, but certainly do not expect any out in the trucking industry. In fact, this is prolly one of the LEAST appreciated and LEAST respected careers out there...

My best friend is a fully licensed electrician. Hopped around between a few companies. He is averaging 30-35hrs/week right now. But he will make more (much more) than he ever would out here...

    :biggrin_25513:

Anyway, best of luck to you. Just get all of the information you need and make informed decisions....:biggrin_255:

I'm a vet. I've been through all the ringers and two basic trainings (Marine and Army).
I hope I can handle all that trucking can throw at me 'With' some help'.
I can drive EVERYTHING in the current US Army arsenal (yeah, even the M-1)
I was just trying to introduce myself as a new CDL holder. I'm going to drive on the road for a while. I've been there and done it only relates to military. I've been driving Freightliners in our school. Good Trucks.. Anyone want to offer me a job?
