It was that good ole fleet motor from Cat....that trusty 3176. What a jewel !!

We bought 20....10 sat in the back cause we stole their parts. Front cover cracked all the time and it only has 3 gallons of water circulating in the engine so when it gets 95 outside she burns up and shuts off.

Had to unhook the shutdown...steal injectors and front covers and it got raunchy mileage..... under 5 all the time. The L-10's and N-14's were hitting 6 all day.

    A real beauty !

Not to defend Werner, but it may not be their fault.

If the truckstops ring up Fuel with one code, but DEF with another code (similar to sunglasses, mountain dew, or whatever), then the card will kick it out.

The solution is for the truckstops to code the DEF and allow it on the card. For example: Diesel is purchase code 18, and DEF is purchase code 19 and the card allows for both.

A pain for the truckstops to reprogram the system, but a big company like Werner has the muscle to ask for it.

Why go to all that trouble when we have poor truck drivers to pay for all this crap.

They would pay for it right quick once the trucks stops because it is out of fluid. It is no where close to a drivers duty to pay for that stuff and supplement the companies income short term.

If companies can figure out how to pay for diesel they can pay for DEF fluid.

Because if they can find a way to lose the receipt, then the driver is stuck with the bill.

i have the 2011 volvo and if takes the DEF fluid. $12.99 to $16.99 + tax. 16 gal tank so your looking to spend $100.more or less to fill it and that will last about a week and a half.
werner will give you one 2.5 gal jug at the term. but that is all. the fuel department says they are trying to get it on the fule cards but nothing yet. this week i have $250. of my money waiting to come home to me. anything over $25. has to go to road breakdown to be rubber stamped for repayment.
your right, it is hard to do when oyu get a $200. werner pay check.

I remember back when I got $200 Werner paychecks... they're a lot smaller than the $800 Werner paychecks I've been getting...
