Wal Mart NOT Trucker Friendly

used to be able to park at one walmart in erie---until everybody started throwing there junk all over the lot--it looked like a dump--then pretty soon the signs went up
some drivers are just idiots---the big dump cantainers were only about 300ft away

 

i parked at the one in panorama city had no problems then again i don't throw my crap all aver the place theres dumpsters and trash cans there i know what there for

 

I once had to deliver to a Walmart store just outside of Baltimore. The Walmart was part of a big mall, so there was no back to the building. The two dock doors were right by the front door. One of the employees had to come out and stop traffic so I could back it up to the dock.

 

sounds like the one i dropped off at the dock was at the right of thr building has 3 doors ugh and ofcourse it had to be attached to a mall i asked for somone to stop traffic and they looked at me like it's my prob and i was nuts what i should have said i can drop it in the middle of the road LOL never again

 

I do tons of shopping at Wal Mart while on the road. I've never had any problems parking. I try to pay attention where im parking. I park on the outer edges of the lot so im not in the way. As far as overnight parking goes I totally understand them not wanting us to do it.

 

ive parked and/or slept at so many wal marts and never had a problem so far. i thought i was getting kicked out once but it turned out to be just some piece of crap begging for money banging on my door at 6am.
there are a small few that do have parking for us, so i give them some credit for at least kind of trying. i have a bigger problem with some of their dc's not letting us park there haha.

 

I was at the Wal-Mart in Sidney, Nebraska and there must have been 45-50 tractor-trailers parked there spending the night and spending money, it looked like a truck stop. Very trucker friendly. I think it depends on how the truckers behave largely, of course space is a concern at some.


Found a nice one in Marina, Ca., parking for only a few trucks but allowed.


Sweetwater, TX you can park on the service road in front, and Gallup, NM has truck parking on the west side. Amarillo you can park behind the store.

 

Amarillo is a nice location, I stayed there a time or two. TD24

 

I have shopped my way across Canada in Walmart lots but only slept in a few. Way too well lit for sleeping and privacy. That being said it must be a girl thing but I use trash cans people!
My mom manages a Super Walmart and they never shoo away the trucks since she swears they make up all the after hours business!

 

I was told by the managment of a walmart that was next door to the small truck stop that the reason she put the signs up was becuase of slobs not cleaning up after themselves. what gets me is they throw their piss filled bottles out so they don't have to put up with it in the cab. not giving a crap who has to pick it up. if they had to pick up after themselve and all the others that are mindless slobs they wouls think about it cause they wouldn't want to touch some ones mess.
