I can't post the link, but the story can be found at Denverpost dot com. A semi-truck driver is being held on DUI charges after allegedly driving the wrong way for nine miles with his lights off on I-70 in eastern Colorado, eluding a sheriff's deputy, then crashing head on into an auto, killing the driver and seriously injuring a passenger.
Perhaps someone with posting privileges could post the link.

WTF!!!!! Thoughts and prayers for the families of the victims.........unbelievable, and tragic
-
Sounds like he come out of the Limon TA or Flying J.
Very sad indead. -
If he was in fact DUI and would not stop for a blue light and siren he should hang. There had to be a problem to go nine miles in the wrong direction. Even a dummy would recognize something was wrong after just a mile or two. Maybe some kind of medical or maybe he had a few " harmless" beers while on 10 hour break? Comfort to the families involved in this tragedy.

My thoughts to the victims and their families.
I almost ran into a car in Tennessee who was going the wrong way in the left lane of EB I-40 not too long ago. Apparently the car driver realized his mistake about three miles back and turned it around. At least, that's what I heard on the radio. I crested that hill and there he was, amid all the smoke from tire friction on the pavement, just toodling along on his merry way. He was very, very lucky that day when nobody was hurt, no property damage and near as I could tell, no police presence. -
Update from the article; here's what he's charged with:
"Hahn said Ross has been booked into the Elbert County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving causing injury, driving on the wrong side of a divided highway and driving with no headlamps.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond."

I was eastbound on I-74 one time and heard reports of a Cadillac eastbound in the westbound lanes. Sure enough, here he come and passed me over in the other lanes. He was in the right lane (hammer lane) like he was on a two lane road. Then come six patrol cars right behind him. They had him pulled over about five miles down the road. He was drunk as a skunk. Luckily he didn't hit anyone.
Bumpy Thanks this.
