Some more info per what I heard this morning. There were three people in the car, the driver, his wife and another person. The driver was airlifted to the hospital last night, the other two were taken by ambulance. Police suspect the driver got on the highway at the MP 363 which is E. Limon, they got the first call about him at MM 357, the accident occured at the 352. There were other officers enroute to try and stop traffic, which CSP had already they had already begun slowing/stopping at the the 345 MP.
The deputy saw the crash happen, I guess he is pretty shook up as well.
Edit: I just clicked over to my facebook page, these people involved are relatives of one my friends on facebook. They were his Uncle, Aunt and Cousin.Last edited: Dec 27, 2010

anyone who tries to defend this trucker, unless it's a massive medical condition, is someone I don't think should be on the forums -
and why pray-tell would someone have "his back" for doing what he did...???
most of us would be thinking he deserves to hang, or at the very least rot in jail...and his bail is a joke as well, as all he would need i think is 10% surety...?? or......$10,000.....
his bail ought to be revoked, or raised.......orion3814 Thanks this. -
local news station reported they are possibly raising his bail because of it being a fatality. -
Denver news is also reporting that he's had prior traffic offenses (speeding in 2007) as well as "illegal possession of alcohol".

LMAO No you can head on over to Colo with your rope. I know your just itching to hang a driver and this one looks like a good one for ya.
Cant say for sure but knowing Colo and its a $100,000.00 bail I bet its a full cash bail.Marksteven Thanks this. -
I was surprised when I checked CDL license sanctions under FMCSA and the state of Colorado...the loss of driving privileges for any of his alleged offenses is 1 year. Of course, he's facing a bunch of serious criminal charges, and I wouldn't expect he'd ever be insurable or hireable again, but theoretically if he's convicted, he could have a CDL in hand again after a year? Seems lenient to me.
