There's a 5 page thread on another board dedicated to PAM's night/weekend dispatch. I promise you, many share your views of the N/W dispatch, myself included.

I'm glad I live in an area where I don't get cell phone coverage. They don't have my home phone number either. ;)

The phone I'll be carrying now shows two buttons when it rings. Answer and Ignore.

Sure is easy to hit Ignore.....

A question for all you PAM veterans. I am close to starting with PAM. I am from El Paso texas and they seem hungry for drivers in that area. does PAM have a Texas regional? or am I going to find myself spending a lot of time in the northeast? I would prefer to stay in Tx,LA,MS or head to CA. Ohh, by the way, I am not a student. I just have to do orientation and then jump in a truck. thanks for your advice.
    stay safe

I've spent months at a time in Texas. Lots of Laredo to midwest runs. El Paso to Cali runs. Dallas/Ft. Worth to East coast. Before the holidays, ever other run was coming or going to Texas. It's seasonal, I'm sure.

Fair warning though, they may keep you out of Texas because you live there. Happens all the time. I knew guys from Texas that haven't see the state except for home time. Then guys like me are there more in a month than any other state. It really depends. Their excuse for keeping me there so much...the needs of the business. Take me off the #### automotive loads and the business needs would change.

Tiny rant...sorry. My year hasn't started off as expected.

PAM has a run for everyone, It will take you awhile to find 1 that fits you, and then work through the dum ### DMs and learn to call and fix the #### you don't like as I have learned to do but why PAM if your an experienced driver? and PAM has frieght out of EL Paso, but you will spend time in the upper mid West, as alot of the frieght you pick up goes the GM plants and Tyler Texas LDA go to the north for Traine, good luck I am looking to move on

The only reason I am going with PAM is to get employed!!! I have no tickets or accidents on my record. but I have not driven for 18 months and that seems to be stopping me from getting on with a good company. Crete won't take me back until I drive for someone else for 6 months. And not a lot of companies hire out of El Paso. I spend a lot of time down in San Diego also, so I might change my CDL to California and that would open a lot more doors for me.

Wherever I stop tomorrow (likely in lower KY) is gonna get me another 34 I don't absolutely need.

I don't know about Werner or CR or Swift.

But when my year is up it's plumb likely I ain't with PAM no more........

PAM is better than those and our trucks are better, I don't know about the rest but I get good dedicated runs from PAM it did take some ######## but I run really hard Tuesday till Friday afternoon and make my way home by Saturday and am home till Tuesday am and then do it again but don't know how long this run will last and I live out of the way in York NE, so it depends on them and you work hard be on time they will get you the miles it may take a few phone calls but thats how it works. I am looking to move on as my years is up in less that 30 days, all I can say is you have to get your year in.

I wish I had your problems right now. I've only seen one paycheck this month so far. First week after New Years, I was getting my APU, B Service and Qualcomm fixed. Less than 36 hours later, I was back in a shop because I hit a deer and it busted my radiator. As it stands right now, I've ran 600 miles in 17 days.

It's the way this business works. I'm not mad at PAM, the service needed to be done and I'd rather do it during the slow time than when I'm getting miles hand over fist then have to stop to go in a shop. I'm more frustrated because this #### deer put me severely behind. It didn't even allow me to complete a run after my initial shop time.
