We all know the rules are rarely ever made with us in mind but rather drivers just being an after thought in regards to acceptable collateral damage.
What we need is a Fulcrum to help us facilitate a strike or shutdown/slowdown.
These people can help us if we can help them.

Instead of forming our own group out of the gate,we lend our support to a group that already has the ear of government. These organisations have taken on the FMCSA and other issues that plague drivers on a daily basis.
Once they understand our issues on the road they will see that we can actually be a powerfull allie, eventually they would help garner the public support needed for a strike that would force legislators to listen and take note. As drivers we can lend them credibility and as a lobby group they can give us a direct line to Washington.
In principal this group wants what we want. Safer highways, fewer driving hours, better trained drivers. All of those issues will result in better pay for drivers, something that all of us here can agree upon.
Every accident they have listed on their site is a driver that has/will endure hardship and hopefully not lose their livelyhood.
We're basically on the same side,Longterm.....we both want the same things.
As drivers we need a point of leverage and this could be one if we chose it to be.
What drivers need is a Fulcrum.....
