that is a tired reason....we all now that, and so do the office people. one cannot erase rudeness no matter what their monetary contribution to the company is....and to add yet another point, we drivers DO NOT or ARE NOT the sole people (workers) that pay into the TOTAL dollars being taken in....do not forget the sales department, because if you do, then a high percentage of that money, would NOT be there..it's the sales department, customer service, load planners, dispatchers THEN the drivers that bring in the money.....and none of us need to hear, "with out drivers, the freight does not move"......yes, it'll still get moved.......

that is quite alright.....they may not want you either.....it is after all, a two way street, with them holding the cards.....

It's good you are going to work for yourself.

Then you won't have to worry about stupid signs, right ?

To the OP, did they hang more than one "exit" sign as well? Here's your sign! lol (no pun)

Now, I see a can of worms has been opened. Who's up for a fishing trip. I'll go in half on the beer! Worms free of charge, curtiousy of Kittyfoot and Rerun8963. A;; other bait can be purchased at Bass Pro shop or if your on a budget, Wal-Mart.

Sad thing is , that LIKELY the TRUCK DRIVERS are the REASON FOR THE SIGN in the 1st place.

I worked at one place that had a sign " WE ARE A TRUCKING COMPANY NOT A TRAVEL AGENCY YOU WILL GO WHERE THE FREIGHT NEEDS TO GO NOT WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO " in the dispatch room. Reason for the sign was drivers

Sign Sign everywhere a sign. Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind. Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?

The four sign thing is the snooty little desk jockey getting irritated at the smallest things and feels they really have to stress their point in a childish manner.

I know how to conduct myself in public. Many signs reflect on the person writing them. Move on now, you are reading this forum too long! :biggrin_2559:

Now I fully understand why the sign was put up!
I bet it was the company that you work for?

Starched jeans...Reminds me of a guy I used to work with when we both worked together in crew schedule at TWA. He always dressed to the nines. Surely not the sweaty T shirt, dirty jeans kind of guy. Anyway after TWA went south, he was driving for the Big Orange and was in a truck stop and they tried to throw him out, saying the lounge was for drivers only. Always got a chuckle out of that.

Great point....the guys who are balking at starched jeans have obviously never been to Texas, except for seeing sloppy drivers in truck stops. Just aboiut every male native Texan wears starched jeans. Or their moms would whoop them.
