Yeah if you have an ACERT cat motor and have the factory mufflers, they have a catilytic type filter material inside of them. Replace them with the cheap donaldson mufflers and you will gain MPG no questions asked especially if the truck has some miles on it because chances are that filter material is clogged and causing to much back pressure and making it harder on your turbo and causing your EGTs to rise.

It is part of the whole ACERT technology deal but in my opinion was a waste of fuel mileage and is way over priced.Dryver Thanks this. -
Pittsburg Power Flowthru mufflers are the way to go. When I replaced mine, they were falling apart inside

There is a noise ordinance in most states, but they don't really enforce it, unless you are the lame brain that can't go thru a parking lot with straight pipes and your jake on.
The pollution factor is supposed to be handled by your EGR system -
And along with their mufflers, Pittsburg Power's computer upgrade, from my research, seems to be the best and most reliable. -
