More than likely the City will sue the civilian truck owner for parking where they shouldn't be. They'll have something about odd side parking during emergencies, or no parking on snow removal routes....they'll come up with something.
Thus the Dumba## worker who hit the truck will get off with little more than a verbal warning.

I just love how the person operating the camera is obviously so concerned for (his neighbor's?) well being and such... Set up to capture what he apparently knows is going to be a disaster, and rather than running downstairs (or at least yelling out the window) to stop them, he just video's the whole ordeal. Closest he got to showing concern was his wonderful commentary on it.
Gee, I wonder why I can't stand big city life...

Having seen the concern from the by standers on the street, they leave a lot to be desired in that regard as well.

The tow truck should have been facing the other way. The tow truck driver then could've used a snatch block and did a side pull. Would've slid out pretty easy on snow and there would've been no damage.

You're JOKING right, yelling out the window from the balcony. And he will get the attention of a running wheel loader's operator AND/OR the tow truck operator.

Give it a try and let us know how it works for you!

Video evidence goes a very long way. Imagine if nobody got it on tape how quickly that would have been swept under the rug. The owner would probably get nothing and those two idiots would go on to do it again.

Besides, you look out the window to see something like this, you assume those guys know what they're doing. At least until the crunching starts and by then it's to late to run out and stop them.
