That is the soonest I could go. I wanted plenty of time for my boss to hire a new guy, and get all my home stuff taken care of. That and now days extra cash is hard to come by, so paying for food can sometimes be hard enough let alone the hotel, and my car SUCKS!!!!!!! so I have to come up with an extra $800 for a rental car.
starting RDTC on March 7th

You won't be the only one in your class and most likey you will all be staying at woodfield. Occasionally they have local students that drive home ever night. I don't see any problem getting a ride back and forth to Roehl from the hotel. One guy rode with me and he didn't even start his truck for 2 weeks. Several stores are in easy walking distance including Food Festival and Walmart. You should be able to get by without the rental car.

do you know if marshfield has taxi's? the only other option i could really find besides driving, was taking a bus to Abbotsford, WI which is 21 miles away. so getting to the hotel would be about to only obsticle, if i could catch a ride to roehl everyday. -
found this on an internet search.
Radio Cab of Marshfield Inc
400 S Central Ave Ste 104, Marshfield, WI 54449
(715) 387-2525
The address is on the part of Central I didn't go down more than once.
I don't remember seeing taxis, but I wasn't looking for them either and we were under 1 1/2 feet of snow when I was there. Another option is to rent a car for a couple of days until you get settled and get your rides established. I know there is a car rental, cause I saw it, but can't remember which company. -
I'm curious, what did everyone find to do on there days off from training. any ideas??

Only had the 2 Sundays off and I spent those getting ahead on the workbook and reading the Roehl Manual and watching tv, pretty exciting stuff

We had one weekend off due to excessive snow 20". I went for a swim and spent time doing homework. The last weekend we had Sunday off and I spent most of that watching football and school work.
They throw a lot at you in 3 weeks and my class had 2 less days due to Christmas. Plus the cancelled Saturday. Class runs from 7 to 5:30 everyday. Then there is homework. Basically you blink and the time is gone. I wouldn't consider it overwhelming, just a lot of info in 3 weeks.

Not much freetime, that is the message I get from my students too... Yes Radio Cab does operate in Marshfield, I am not sure but they do have vans that run back and forth to the hotel for orientation, I was under the impression that there was transportation for RDTC also. I would ask b4 you rent a car. As far as taking a bus, again ask your recruiter about what they could help you with, they will work with you if you ask.
sherd Thanks this. -
they actually dont provide a van for RDTC, but most guys meet someone in class at the hotel and just carpool

hey sherd, if you can kinda keep me updated on how your evo's go id like to know what to expect. thanks man!!!
