Marten also steals from drivers as well...when i was asked to clean my truck out...i cleaned it out...took my camera to take pictures of the inside.....i reluctantly went inside to go to the can...and left the camera in the truck...thinking ill be back....no ones going to touch it....when i came back out,,my ez pass was taken out...and camera was stolen.....it got into a big confrontation in the shop...never got my camera back(actually my wife's camera with all our childrens memories on it......that all happened in the indianapolis terminal.....stay away from that low life company...they lie and steal...you wont see your last paycheck...so just keep the locks and the straps that they give you in orientation...you wont see your last check...might as well keep the equipment............remember marten.....the graveyard of suckers

The operative words here are "a bit." It was an infinitesimally tiny little bit at that, that takes nothing at all away from ez's story.

Thankfully I never experienced mechanics or drivers stealing anything out of my truck during my 11-year stay at Marten, but I wish I could say the same about the higher-ups with regard to my wallet. They're the ones that you really have to keep an eye on at Marten.

They also your ability to make a living...if you were asked to clean out your truck for a new one is one thing but if you were asked to clean it out for some other reason better check your DAC it might take sometime to get back into a truck.

For the record they didn't mess with my DAC after I quit, but if the fleet manager has anything to do with what they put in your DAC, then that totally explains why nothing happened to mine. I got along real well with my FM the whole time. She wouldn't have put anything bad in my DAC.

If the new hours of service become law, the 34 hour restart as we have now is going to end up being a 48-53 hour restart.in alot of cases. This is going to be a big problem for regional drivers who go home for only 1 1/2 days or less. They will have to go back to work running on there recap as a 34 may not be possible. OTR drivers who stay home for a few days and getting there restart may have to help out by running some of the loads local. :biggrin_25513: Marten may have to let regional drivers stay home a minumun of 48-53 hours so they can get there restart. This proposed hours of service is a real crock of s###.

    mathematrucker Thanks this.

I would say he needs to download an updated version of the CAT Scale directory.

It'll probably take more than an updated CAT scale directory to remedy that! Six over gross tickets in six months? Marten must really be attracting the crème de la crème these days!

Does this guy not know how to read the air scale on his dash? And he must of had alot of trailers with broken air scales.
If that's the case he should of at least mentioned it to his dispatcher, that hey this trailer's air scale is broken, and i need to scale it , before i pull the load.
I do just that and never have a problem getting a po for a scale ticket, even if it's under the company policy of 42,000 or more.

In the short 8 years i have been on the orad, i have only one over weight ticket. But this guy with 6 already? KNOCK KNOCK ANy body home McStupid?
