Well I graduated RDTC last week. I transferred my license back to NC yesterday. Emailed a copy of the license to Roehl this afternoon and got a call that I'm headed out on EVO 1 on Monday. Wahoo!

Of course the multiple projects I've been working on around the house will have to get done a little faster now. Looks like I've watched my last bowl game this season.

Something I've been wondering about Roehl. Do they require a pdti certified school cdl? The school I've found affordable enough to go to for training isn't, but last 2 months and turns out a sister school of the same name is, but its 4 hours away.

And do they get a lot of freight headed south? I'm from Knoxville, TN and I have yet to see one of their trucks on the road down here.

I can't answer either question, but you could call and ask a recruiter. They are friendly. Plus Roehl has its own school with no obligation to drive for Roehl. Cost 3200 (tuition + hotel) and you can finance it if needed.

Roehl is a good newbie company. They will teach you to drive correctly and safely. They are not the best paying company but they generally keep you moving. I would not discourage someone from beginning thier career there. After you get the hang of it and have proven yourself you can normally get on with a better company. By this I mean one that pays better, has better equipment and has a better customer base which means a better freight selection. Roehl hauls alot of heavy paper and scrap paper. Good Luck

ETCH are you still with Roehl. I see their trucks regularly, and not always the box trailers.
