but i think now the non smokers outnumber the smokers.
So that is why so many states are now going to smoke free.
why bother 66 percent of the people so that 33 percent can smoke and be happy?
How many truck stops can you still smoke in ??

If non smoking places bother you so much, do not go to them.
If 70% of the people are non smokers, why should the minority have a voice?
You smokers did not care in the past, so payback is fine.
Maybe you would be better off making your own list of where you can go to smoke. -
Roadmedic... I think you may have missed on where some of this is going. I have no problem if some places are smoke free. What I do have a problem with on how the states decide on these smoking bans, like I said before That should be left up to the owners of the property. If they say you can smoke inside then fine if not thats fine also. My other problem is with the other member that wants to throw out his BS on how 100% of smokers trash parking lots etc. I also dont see where you think smokers did not care in the past. If were in a place that we can smoke in and light up then thats our right, just as you have the right to decide if your going to walk in to the place or not.TankerYankr Thanks this.

Where did you come up with your numbers ? Im not giving you crap I am just asking.

But the ones that want to control our lives will keep getting their way . . . until something that they do starts getting controlled.
Before the WI smoking ban, there were some bars that tried going smoke-free, and ended up changing things to smoking within months because they weren't making any money.
A business owner should have the choice as to whether to allow smoking or not. Certain places should be smoke free . . . hospitals, doctors offices, and there are other places that I have no objection to being smoke free. Bars, restaurants and truck stops it should be up to the business owner. There are ways to set up smoking areas so that they do not affect the non-smoking areas. I have seen it at some airports. Separate room, closed off, ventilation (dang noisy fans too!).TankerYankr and northstarfire0693 Thank this. -
I worked for an ambulance company. The owner made the rule that it was to be non smoking.
The smokers just continued to smoke because they felt their rights were violated.
I was at a truckstop that was non smoking eating breakfast when the table next to me the guy lit up and used the plate as an ashstray. On the table was a sign that said no smoking.
As far as the states passing the laws, no problem with me.
After all, if 50 percent smoke and 50 percent don't. The smokers always won.
The non smoking areas were a joke and anyone allergic could not have a hot meal. Go inside to take a shower and it reeked. By the time you walked through the smelly building, your clean smell was back to the smell you are allergic to.
It is nice to finally be able to eat a hot meal and not be nauseated. -
Never said that 100% of the pee bombs came from smoker,..reading comprehension owns you,..I think the term you are looking for is You're an idiot, not your an idiot.
You seem to love getting all PMS over stats,..care to share the ones that give you the precedence to claim 2nd hand smoke is BS? I could call you an idiot here like you did to me with incorrect grammar but I wont.
Once again,..I doubt there is any such research, I simply deduced that anyone who is addicted and filthy like smokers would certainly have no issues dropping pee bombs on a regular basis. Nasty people tend to be nasty across the spectrum. Simple reasoning,..sorry no data from the National Pee Bottle Institute,..just my own observations,..filthy people always do filthy things,..generally in spades.
If they do not have the right then smokers should sue the states,..otherwise the law is the law and should be obeyed.
If you would read and comprehend instead of reacting to something that you perceive as negative, my replies were to a smoker who was in denial that the government has bans in place that both make sense and are for the common good. I mentioned DDT bans and freon bans and then the truckwash and water issue and why it is banned. Thats the relevance, it was to point out that there are many government mandated bans about what can and cannot take place on private property,..even property where the taxes have been paid. Thats what drinking water has to do with this discussion. See,..it simple,..read, comprehend and then make logical objections,..you kinda missed that boat here a little
See,..here you go again,..really sounding stupid,..NEVER said that smokers are the only ones throwing pee bottles,..NEVER,..and you cant go back and quote me as doing so. That is out of line and stupid on your part to try to claim that here,..as for having a clue,..I have a clue you aren't man enough to come on here and admit you made that up and are wrong in claiming I said that,..anywhere,...
The problem will be solved in time when it becomes federal law or all states ban the habit in all public buildings,..then yes,..problem solved.
I do wait on you to admit your claims above were wrong,..but I bet you cant do that can you ? -
You got me there. My bad
If you do you do. Not the first time or the last.
So just because someone made the choice to smoke makes them a nasty person ????? I think your wrong and I am sure other people smokers and non smokers will say the same. As far as the pee bottle crap goes there are just as many non smokers as well as smokers who do that crap.
I am not going to waste my time on this one.
I made it up ?????? Really..... Here you go....
So I made that up ???? I think you need to go back and look in you past post. It's in your own words!!! Are you going to be man enough to admit what you said above.
Wait here you go again.....
Really...... There you go again.
I do not see where it will become a Federal law, I could be wrong, but I dont see it. I think it will stay on the state and local level.
As far as me going to admit my claims are wrong. Well as you can see above my claims are in your own words. So who needs to admit what my friend ?????
Now do you really want to keep this pissing contest going ? You said what you need to and I have done the same. Now are going to get this thread back on track or what. -
i just guessed on those numbers. just from observing people i see out there i would have to guess that there are more non smokers out there, than smokers.
You ever notice that in a group of friends, all will either be smokers, or non smokers.
it seems like smokers become friends, and non smokers make friends with themselves.
they don't mix too much. -
Steel City T/S, Michigan City, IN, US 421 # I-94, X-34A still allows smoking.
