Keep in mind that 120 out of 500 figure includes any homeless people that are brought in, so that may hurt the average. A little.
Don't laugh....I witnessed it, though it was back in '96. Guy swore up and down he used to drive. Wore the same brownish shirt and pants each day, and had the backing skills of my 2-year-old grandson. Come to find out he was basically homeless, both before and after the classes (he didn't make the cut).
The truth about C.R. England.

Dude, there is no way they take in 500 new recruits per week per campus.... yeah freaking right!!
-
he said the total for all schools per week was 500.
-
no crap, that means each campus gets 125 per week... yeah freaking right! you should read back to see how it I calculated it...

When I went to the CR England school, the Spartanburg, SC one before they sold it to USA Truck, we had a class of about 25-30. I stopped by the Chicago center once while on training and there was a class of like 40. No where near 125...

Thats what Im saying, the guy that made this thread is not makin any sense...

I thought Driver 123 stated his experience and the amount of money he earned with c.r.england in a straitforward manner. Some of you may question some of his numbers re: class sizes and drop out rates; but he's seen it as a driver / trainer employed by them. c.r. england is a rough way to try to get started in the business and he actually did it. The multitude of posts concerning them (england) on this forum support his statements. Good luck to you and happy new year.

As I posted this on another thread I think people need to understand the caliber of human beings that show up at truck driver training facilities like CRE. I will use my experience as an example.... (Not CRE training, but one just like it)
Class starts with 39 students.
Within the first 2 days, 9 were gone...failed pee test or physical even though they knew there was to be one.
Within 9 days a further 12 were gone after background checks. Even though they knew there was to be one.
Understand, these 21 people would not have gotton a job at McDonalds.
Before the end of school a further 4 just dropped out, couldn't hack it.
So 14 out of 39 graduated, and I know of 8 of these didn't make 6 months solo out on the road.
A truck driving schools first day is like they went to the nearest freeway overpass and soup kitchen and filled up the bus.AfterShock Thanks this. -
Priceless............
