My trainer completed his lease and got the title. My friend K. V. completed his lease and got the title. My other friend M. B. has completed four leases simultaneously, has the titles to all four trucks and is running drivers in them. Let's see....Ian, Mike, Sam, Chuck all completed their leases. Chuck has two he completed simultaneously. All of these trucks are titled to the folks who leased them. Not all of them mentored to do it.

That's all the proof I need. The thing about all of the people above is business savvy and knowing where every penny comes from and goes. The identical concept to buying through a private third party. I think that's the part that is so difficult to accept.

didnt you just say 'WE HAVE NOTHING FURTHER TO DISCUSS', then you continue on? good think you're not a commercial airline pilot.

Capt. Heavy: "Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, we're about to start our decent into Denver International........"

    5 min. later...........

Capt. Heavy: "Uh...back up here in the ####pit, its your Captain speaking. I've had a change of heart, and rather than go to Denver, I've got family I'd like to see in Cheyenne, Wy.....so.....uh..........we're going to head there. Sorry"

Teaming. Gross is before any expenses are taken out. A team can easily make 5,000 miles per week on average. 5,000 x 52 x .92=$239,200. And that's not including any fuel surcharge. Suppose FSC averages 30cpm, that's another $78,000 for a total gross of $317,200. But' again, gross is before payment, fuel, permits, taxes, insurance and maintenance. But any real O/O would already know this.

You can even shave off 10% as if this team didn't get paid at all for deadhead miles, which we do at 81cpm...but we'll say these two got nothing. And you will still have a respectable number.

Injun, I'm not saying it can't be done, it has been done as you pointed out. The only problem I have with it is cost. What gets me is if you L/P and come to the end of the lease~the cost to purchase the truck is most always more than what its worth. These company don't want you to own that truck, if they did you would see 5 years lease's on a new truck with a $1 buyout.

i really dont think he was out 52 weeks a year--maybe ---and he was a trainer--so he wouldnt have a trinee every week--but you are right--i was thinking more that it was a single driver--so i suppose he could be grossing that amount as a team--but then he will have a lot of deductions coming out as well

Thanks for pointing that out except you forgot the rest of the quote again. I see you choose not to answer the question. That tells me all I need to know. I'm done with ya.
