Yeah, it's been a bit of a struggle lately. But it's not just SNI, it's widespread. Hang in there if you can, and keep rattling the chains (in a professional manner).
Just for the record, my last few full weeks have been

2514
Vacation the week of Thanksgiving
2775
2259

Man...I wish I could go back to Schneider. Burned that bridge back in Feb. Was on a ded. WalMart account. I always had a decent, steady paycheck(always close to same amount) Was home every 6 days and was always within 250 miles from the house. Fuel, shop, and showers were at the DC. Also always had fresh food and a place to park without getting thrown out or towed(Wal-Mart parking lot: they are getting strict with truck parking at their stores if you are not delivering there) I quit without a notice and have since found out thats one way to not get a re-hire.

SNI has multiple options available which is one of the positives of driving for a big company. Tanker division will get you more money. Dedicated accounts will get you predictable paychecks. "Homerun" will get you 1 wk at home for every 2 wks driving.

48Packard, I would not mind those miles. Lot better than mine. What I can not figure, what is it about OTR that they do not understand. I have been told that SNI is trying to go mostly regional. The good runs, they go to the teams and the IC's. Once I was down in Charlotte, and was given a 3 day 700 mile run. Was told that this was the best that they had out of that area. Was talking to a couple of IC's that were there. They were on the Choice plan. They showed me the load board. Runs from Charlotte area, going to TX, like Laredo, and Houston, 2 runs to OR, and my DBL tells me that this 700 mile run is the best that she has. Something is wrong with this picture. -

I mean...any 'experienced' person who can...uh...read...like...all of my posts over the past 3+ years, could tell I've been a driver on a dedicated account. Are you an 'experienced' reader?
Anything else you'd like to say sarcastically, or would you actually like to try and make a point against what I'm saying?
When you have a truck that is set to be swapped out...getting repairs done, outside of a PM, often that can be pointless. The point of a repair is to keep the truck running as efficiently as possible, and possibly without doing damage to other components. If they swap out an injector...all it will do is simply improve the performance of the truck. The cost of the injector and its replacement is something SNI takes into consideration. In their eyes, there is no point in replacing something on a truck that will not earn them the money back from that repair; especially when the truck is on their swap list. That is why you often see the older trucks just get patch jobs for fixes. Some cosmetic parts that cost thousands of dollars don't get replaced because they simply won't return their investment. So its silly to replace a injector that could cost x dollars...if that replacement will not at all return its investment before the truck is swapped
out.
My comment about your 4k miles you apparently wanted was sarcastic. Im sorry you didn't get that. You were told (problem number one...never ever...ever ever ever ever believe what a trucking recruiter...or otherwise, tells you as far as what you will get for miles) you would average 2600 and are only getting 2200...which still isn't too bad considering the economy and the fact that any 'inexperienced' driver could tell you...that this is the down part of the year where miles always dip down in the winter time.ThatTruckerFrom305 Thanks this.
