I stopped at the flying j (p)? in pecos, tx a few days ago for fuel, shower and a bite to eat. shower #5 did not have a cover over the light in the actual shower stall, i brought this to the attention of the manager on duty and she didnt seemed concerned about the safety issue-there were bare wires exposed to the water/humidity in the shower. after i showed her the video of the shower and my description of the area and i told her this would stream on the web for others to see she immediately changed her attitude concerning the safety issue. Obviously WE have to be VERY proactive in our own wellbeing cause those that we rely on to support us in our industry dont care to
safe showering

Uh... don't stop there anymore.... if I had to keep track of every defect I've seen at a truckstop or dock I'd spend 8 hours a day complaining... wait... I do THAT already!
I am medicineman and PurpleKW Thank this. -
The Hook in Pecos(Pay-cuss) has long since been over run
with lazy staff.
The only reason to stop in Pecos is to get tamale's from La'Nortena
which in itself is an experience.Mmmmmm -
You'll get a bigger kick from their grid than you will from their coffee...
-
I usually try to shower at a TA they are better but not all of them are
-
That use to be one of my regular stops when I ran produce. I just borrowed the parking lot. Slim pickins in that area. Next stop, The Thing!
-
Ya'll got to hunt up La'Nortena and gets some of the tamales
-
My wife was bugging me for a hundred miles about seeing" the Thing"so I finally gave in. I don't think "the Thing" is real but my wife thinks it is. That place is the ultimate tourist trap.

Also, the office of OSHA in that neck of the woods may be interested in hearing about this shower with bare wires and exposure to water and humidity ... I think they should have an inspector out there faster than you can say Electrocution !!!
