A couple reasons why I like State Farm....first, they wanted to pull all their auto business out of Kalifornia, cause there were too many car accidents there and they had to raise their rates in all the other states to help pay for the bad drivers in Kali....but Kali wouldn't let them just leave the state!!! They had to do a gradual withdrawall, like a military draw down of troops...what a bunch of communists....and I mean that in the technical sense, not as a derogatory statement, but a statement of fact!!! If I had 40 tons of crap on a semi, I would luv to dump it on the Kali capitol, as that is all those legislators there are worth, if that much.

This would have allowed State Farm to lower my car insurance rates, but no, they have to do what the state of Kali says or they get slapped with fines etc. This was about 3 or 4 years ago....I don't know if they have gotten out yet or not....kinda like a prison sentence, I guess.

Second....I have had State Farm for over 30 years, and never switched to another company. :biggrin_2558: They pay my claims happily, and of course I don't have too many claims for them. The only time I talk to them is when I need a claim, and they always pay the claim correctly. What more could I want??? If I want to save a buck or two, I could shop around, but I don't like to shop around for insurance all the time. I really like the Geico ads, and their gecko....and I hope they keep on spending a lot of money on their TV ads, as I enjoy them!!!! :biggrin_2559:

Third, I enjoy not seeing a bunch of State Farm ads....as they spend their money on paying claims, and not so much on advertising. :biggrin_2559:

My house and cars are under State farm.
    My motorcycle is under Progressive.
i have checked with all company's, and none can match or beat what I am paying now.
Of the normal company's at least.
I need to swap back to USAA again some day. I just never get around to it. They are insurance for Military Officers and 1st generation Dependants. I had them for years, then let it lapse back 10 years ago or so before I got married.
I just never picked them back up.

I guess it would really depend on the state.

You need to get back with USAA asap. You are spending WAY too much money if you aren't with them.

That goes for ANY veterans out there, enlisted or officer, doesn't matter CALL THEM. I've been with them since 1986 and wouldn't even THINK about going anywhere else. Nobody can match the rates or service.
