This just tells me that the degree of stupidity has gotten even higher to know full well that they are on high and to have no regard for fellow drivers.

I never use high beams on the big road. Even when there isn't any oncoming traffic. Simply because there is usually so much oncoming traffic that the dimmer switch would fall off from using it so much. Well, maybe not actually fall off but you see what I'm saying.
Note to PA Turnpike Northeast Extension (476) users:
PLEASE PLEASE dim your headlights for oncoming traffic. Just because there is a five foot barrier that serves as a median over which you cannot see the headlights of oncoming traffic does not mean that said oncoming traffic will NOT be blinded by your highbeams.
I have been tempted to (but never would for obvious safety reasons) blast the offending idiot with my 1.5 million candlepower spotlight. -
Y'all realize that you only have to dim your lights 500 feet from oncoming traffic and 300 feet when behind, by law (at least in CA)?
That is not very distant, at all. It is really right on top of someone. 500 feet is less than 1/10 mile!
As a general rule, I never have high beams on someone at anywhere near those distances - but that is what you can get away with legally. -
And yes... they made a flat-out statement to high-beaming jerks!
I loved those lights. They would light up the road like daylight over a mile away - and totally blind any sob that kept his highs on me. -
i told you guys that adjusting ford headlights was not easy!
you have to remove the whole headlight, to get behind the light, then adjust the screws, then put it back and hope that it is right.
God how i am growing to hate ford. -
Does the op like it when someone does it to him?
It is the law to dim highbeams for oncoming traffic, and it is about being courteous, which seems to be lacking nowdays.
I seem to notice a trend of people not dimming their highbeams, and it really pisses me off, even when you flash your lights to let them know they still refuse to dim them. I think it is just laziness. -
Speaking of high beams...what gives with all these drivers wanting to be of help to .let me know I've cleared their truck when passing by flashing their brights at me.
First off I am running by you doing 75 in your 62 mph truck and know when I'm clear of your rig.
Second no sooner i turn my blinker on to let you know I am coming back over on come the brights!
What do you think I am doing at the moment I am turning on my blinker and deciding to come back over?!? Thats right I am looking in my mirror only to see your brights come on.
Your not doing me a favor by doing this on a dark arizona highway and dont expect a courtesy flash back from me.
If you really want to help me out you can turn the head lights OFF for a brief second but even that isnt necessary. Trust me, I do know where my trailer ends -
