I'm thinking about jumping ship and going to Werner on a midwest regional run but first I was hoping to have some questions answered by someone whos not the recruiter. I was told I would be out 5 days and home for 2 and I was told to expect around 2500 miles a week which I am finding hard to believe. Thanks any additional info. would be appreciated.

I ran "drivers choice" (they merged midwest and eastern regional for some reason) for three months, and the best you can realistically expect is out 14, home 2, and 1500 miles a week is a GOOD week for a solo werner driver on a regional board.

The only way you'll get the miles and hometime you mentioned is if you get on a dedicated account, and a #### good one at that. I run dedicated 11 out 2 home/ 17 out 3 home with 3000-3750 miles a week solo now, and I couldn't be more happy ( unless I was making better than 29cpm, of course XD )

barroll you have just stated it in a nutshell. I don't know about mideast regional. But my FM keeps me east of I-35 for the most part. And I get killer miles. I am 48 state trainer though. But back when I was solo 48 stater which doesn't exist by their labels but you can get it via pulling a trick or two. I was avg. about 2350 miles per week. But unless you are on a dedicated I have never heard of anything other then 1 day off for each week out.

I'm pretty sure you're only getting killer miles since you're a trainer. Solo drivers are treated as more of a nuissance than anything these days, since being out 14 days at a time, you're going to burn up your 70 and piss off dispatch, or dispatch is going to give you a surprise 36 hour reset in the middle of nowhere and piss you off.

Midwest regional means nothing they will send u to all 48 states. Regional pays less especially for dead head or mt miles so they make more money off u. Home time is 1 day per 7 days out but one day for time for Werner is not 48 hours so expect to spend only enough time to reset your hours at home
