I use a company called millenicon, UNLIMITED internet for 69.99/mo, plugs into usb port. It works via sprint, & sometimes I have internet when my AT&T phone doesn't have service. Very rarely do I not have enough bandwith for skype (video calls with wife), or hulu (tv). Pretty much as soon as I park the laptop goes on & only VERY RARELY can it not fund service. I even have it on US-50 through nevada, when my cell dont work. Neat to have a web can out my windseild so my wife can poke up see where I am driving. I know I got a freind one that plays WOW A LOT, & it works fine for him, don't know about other games.

That is what I am after. I don't want to "limit" my access to anything or anytime. I want to be able to watch ball games on MLB.COM next season so the limitations are not going to work for me. I will check it out.

This looks like the best value in terms of no data cap (it says they investigate after 50gb but that is difficult to reach unless you d/l movies all day). Appreciate the info.

Verizon told me there was no cap when using my phone as a hotspot, whereas there's a 5g limit with the aircard

Sorry to bump this thread from the depths. I got my laptop today, and activated my 3g. The service is impressive, at least at my house. I'm seeing that I'll have to watch my usage so I don't go over. I easily racked up 15mb in under an hour, but I was just surfing my brains out to test it. One nice thing about verizon is they're no longer decimating your bill if you go over the plan. It's $10 per GB, which is much better than the $50ish it used to be.

CORRECTION, he said it was unlimited "tethering" it. but after having trouble downloading the app drivers I took it to another verizon store (corporate) they told me there is NO UNLIMITED WHATSOEVER, the "app" the store gave me is a droid app. that is frowned upon by the company:biggrin_2554:

I intend to monitor my usage closely, and my bill as well. I was told there's no roaming charges, and I will get warnings if I get close to my 5gb. I don't see any reason it should go above the monthly plan charge unless I go over. If that happens, Verizon and I will have words.
