    • TIGHT SQUEEZE: A Georgia truck driver misjudged the height of his trailer, causing the rig to scrape underneath the CSX railroad overpass on Young Street in the City of Tonawanda Sunday night. The bridge has been struck nearly two-dozen times in recent years. DON SCHWARTZ FOR THE NEWS

They will stop hitting it when truck routed GPS is in all the trucks.

We had a rental driver hit that bridge about 10 years ago. Drov it back to Mississauga with the top half of the front of the trailer missing.

...because he was a rookie and did not receive proper training perhaps?

Really? Well get ready for even more surprises after CSA 2010 clears out all the experienced drivers.

Just joined in November... let's see... that's probably a month and a half experience? At no time during that month and a half did he think to wonder maybe how high the trailer was?

A structure that is 11' 6" is gonna be scary low. Hell, he should have seen that regardless of if he knew the height of his truck or not.

I did have a van driver following me one day when I was skateboarding. Not sure why he was following me, but I went under a 12'6" bridge...

Man I drove truck a long time and still I stop and look when I don't know
I know how tall the trailer is.
This is the kind of Rookie that gives us all a bad name
This is what he told the cops, CRAZY,,JUST CRAZY

Franklin told officers he saw the signs posted before the bridge that identify the height of the overpass as 11 feet, 6 inches. However, Franklin said he wasn't aware of the height of the trailer he was driving.
