thanks everyone! i am definitely getting an education reading everything on this forum!! i feel like i am learning a whole different language and culture...

sorry but what is a twic? -
It IS a whole new language and culture... a separate reality, in fact. Never needed a TWIC card, but I think it's "Transportation Worker Identification Card"---might be wrong, some other hand will let you know. Drivers need TWIC cards to get into ports, certain government facilities, etc. Another post-9/11 measure, if I recall correctly, designed to weed out terrorist truck bombers. Application for TWIC requires time and money, although some companies will walk you through the process. Doesn't hurt to have one, as some companies won't hire you without one, unless you're willing to immediately apply for one.
