Always get a police report, if you can.
Barring that, get all the information you need for a review. If you have a camera, and most cell-phones do, take lots of pictures.
If the responsible driver doesn't like it, too bad. I he assaults you, you will now have a police report you can use against him and his company.
If he gets arrested, so much the better for you .![]()

Thats good to know, I'll get the driving record and call them today. Also its not that i have a why try attitude, I just wanted to make sure companies will hire me before I spend money and time on a trucking school that might accept me either way. And now I know to always get a police report, I had no idea about that back then.

The schools are no problem. They want your money. The getting a job after the fact is the issue.

I entered trucking school 1 MONTH after getting my driver's license back on a suspension AND 3 months after getting arrested for driving while suspended. My record was ridiculous. I was shocked off my feet when I was approved.
IL truckergal and which ELITE FLEET did you find employment with ?

As far as the rear end accident, if no cops were called, it is NOT on your record.
Incidently, that's the way I'd do things. Even if an accident is not your fault, if you call the cops, it goes on your record and raises your insurance rates. I had that happen to me for a car/deer accident. The real hell of it is, my MVR did not specify it was a deer... only a non-fault accident.
Pay for car repairs yourself and stay out of "the system".
