Heavy loads, lots of stopping and starting, sometimes several drop and hooks a day, local work is very hard on tires, brakes, and suspension. Many rail yards have very rough lots, and some empty pick up yards are like off roading. You can watch a truck deteroriate before your eyes quickly lunning local rail yards. That's why you see so many old beat up trucks running them. No one wants to take a nice truck and destroy it. When I first started ports and rail yards, a driver came up to me and said my truck was way too nice to destroy doing rail.

Well i looked for a few minutes, but i must be missing the "edit" button to fix my 1st post in the this thread.

After talking with my father he has adjusted asking price to $10K.

Also getting closer to getting new pics, as my brother got a computer for Christmas... now i just have to teach him how to use it and get his internet set up over the phone :biggrin_25521: :biggrin_2559:

You only get the edit button for 24hrs, then it's permanent unless the Admin or MOD adjusts it. I did change your asking price in your original post.

    PKGonzo Thanks this.

1st off, this is not my truck, i'm posting this for my father. Yes, this was posted here a while ago with no luck on the sale. i'd prefer this add didn't turn into the $50 offers and truck bashing by attempting to find every flaw in the truck, from the poor pics, that the last post turned into.

2nd, I'm well aware the truck needs some TLC, but anyone that is truly interested and has cash to buy will go look at the truck in person, drive it and realize it is mostly cosmetics. The mechanicals on the truck were well maintained while in service.

3rd, No cash equals no sale! I've talked to him enough to know that the only payment plan he will accept is 1 payment for the negotiated price at the time of sale. So if you don't have cash, don't bother asking if he will take payments.

Next, I'm well aware the pictures are old. The truck has not changed. I live 1200 miles away, these are the only pics i have, and the old saying is 100% true, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." I have tried on numerous occasions to get my brother to get updated photos sent to me, but he just can't figure out the "internet thing!" once again photos are only for reference and those interested will take the time to go look at the truck.

Finally, if you made it this far reading and are interested in looking at the truck and negotiating in person with my father feel free to pm me your phone number and i'll put you in contact with my father and brother. once again it is my father's truck, but my brother would be there to assist with the sale; my father's health has been poor since his stroke.

Once again email or pm me if interested.

This truck needs to sell, so once again take the time to see it in person and drive it and i'm sure a reasonable price can be negotiated.
