Out of my 20+ years driving, this past week truly had me wondering about what goes through the minds of drivers, both new and old timer, to park your truck EXACTLY parallel to a truck that is already parked. I mean idiots actually parked their trucks with their driving windows directly across from my window.Do you really think that I want to see you every time that I move my head? Are you intent on looking at me every time that you move? Seriously, why park in that manner?
My truck is longer than most slope noses so I am at a disadvantage when parking but for another driver to intentionally park to where their window is exactly across from my window gives me the creeps. Please be cognizant of how you park and back your short wheel base set up farther back. I do not have much wiggle room regarding moving back and forth( I am always as far back as I can go even if i have to manually lift my trailer mud flaps in order to not snatch them off as i encroach upon the curb/stop) just to avoid the above described behavior yet 9 out of every 10 drivers stop their truck to where they can look directly at me. WTF?
Granted i am somewhat flattered by the women that do this but it still tends to negate my privacy, something that all of us should have when parked for extended periods.
I just thought i would post this as this week certainly drove me insane having to either move to another spot OR actually having to ask the driver to please back up a little more.YES I did do just that a few times.
Okay. Thanks for the vent and I am off my soapbox for the week.
    Happy trails-

We all have our quirks and this is yours. It's a part of life to have quirks. I'd just close my curtain on the side and leave it open in front for light. But then my quirk is it annoys me that people don't pull in straight. Would it kill them to do a pull up? When we pull in crooked it makes it harder on the next person to get in. My quirk.....welcome to it. lol

Sounds more like he has the problem than the guys who parked next to him.

Common sense is to park equal.

Get over myself? Okay that pretty much sums up just where you stand and that you have no regard for another's privacy. Are you an exhibitionist or voyeur perhaps? Enjoy watching others? Derive some form of satisfaction from parking window to window?
My rant has nothing to do with what you think rather it is just that- a rant and possibly a point that another driver has yet to consider.
    many thanks for the reply.

This is just stupid. If you would have asked me to move so my window wasn't next to yours you would have gotten a serious ear full!:biggrin_25516:

Keep in mind boss that it IS a FREE country and if my window happens to line up with yours I could really give a rats rear what you think about it!
