All I care about is setting the rig centered and as far back as she goes. After that it's shower, food and bunk.

"Common sense" is uncommon these daze.
How 'bout your drivin'?
Oh my gawd!
It's said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I only see two.
The end.
rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
Saw a guy smack the front of another guys truck the other day, he said it was because it was the first time he has his tandems set to CA and he said he didn't think about the additional swing they created...I don't think he could have got out without hitting the other guy due to the swing it was so tight...It gave me something new to think about...

That is such a lame excuse it must be true
....what the hell if the dweeb had been paying attention to his mirrors he would have seen he was getting close....no excuse for that ....I've been in some pretty tight docks where it was a complete 4 star full on raving lunatic beeyotch PITA to get out of it not to mention get into it.......go slow and pay attention that's all it boils down to
PurpleKW and ampm wayne Thank this. -
Scotti, I am sitting here laughing because after the 1st driver moves his truck back 5 feet, they all would join in. Just stop and picture this. It would be hilarious. And then have the original driver pull forward 5 feet after everyone backs up 5 feet.

If you want privacy I would suggest you buy some curtains for your windows then knowone can see you. ..

Yeah, ya gotta watch that trailer swing... as for the OP, I understand his viewpoint, and I myself will move slightly to offset tractors IF there is room to do so, especially if I'm having a few cold ones in my parked truck. In many places, one has no choice unless one noses in, something I hardly ever do due to the limited visibility backing out of the slot. Besides, when ya nose in, ya don't get to see all the pretty trucks go by in the chicken light parade...
And that hand who posted the monkey shot... that's just wrong!!! Last thing I needed to see after grabbing a late snack out of the fridge...

I did stagger myself so I was back a bit from the trucks on either side of me. I moved up closer because my lazy arse didn't feel like carrying laundry the length of the truck stop. After I finished my laundry, I came back to see the truck on my right was replaced by some guy with his windows perfectly even with mine and his motor on high idle. Windows? I can close the curtain. High idle? &#$% it. I moved so that I'm nosed into the far corner with nothing but a field to my left and a trailer to my right. With lots of space between me and that trailer, but not enough for another truck to squeeze in. It's not my fault either. I'm right against the edge of the field. I will step out onto grass.
And it's sooooooo quiet.....PurpleKW Thanks this. -
I always parked where the front of my truck was in farther that the trucks next to me so that if another driver did get to close my truck didnt get hit but the others would, i know sounds bad but also you dont want your mirrors close the the truck next to you in case the truck beside you the mirror moves with the door because the mirrors are on the door you dont want his mirrors hitting yours when he opens his door. i know to much sorry .
zentrucking Thanks this.
