I have stopped there a couple of times, but I usually am in a hurry to get on in to DC and don't stop. This week a breezed on past there on my way to philly.

My old stomping grounds..(PA. Native Here) I used to run through there at least twice a month and often more that that one way or another. In those days (Late 70's Early 80's) Even with the tolls I'd run the Pike across PA unless loaded for Chicago out of NYC. then I'd brave I-80 which was a HORRIBLE "Back Beating" excuse for an Interstate Highway.
In those days there really was no "out of route" concerns with the carrier I drove for at the time. They figured we would be smart enough to figure out how to run it the fastest way albeit not always the shortest and they would reimburse any tolls incurred and actually preferred us to run the Pike if we could. -
i stayed at the pilot last sunday night, the next time i go that way i was going to try the ta -
i think Gateway is one of the better truckstops.
HFC Thanks this. -
that's probably the crappiest pilot i've been in so far.

I forget which one that is. All the I-80 truck stops in PA seem to run together in my mind.

PA. turnpike I-76 Breesewood exit -
Don't remember which one has the Perkins, but the next time you are there you really should try the burger with the fried egg on it. Really an awesome creation.
I drive through there all the time, but it's very rare that I stop. I'm usually just a few hours into my day, heading to Pittsburgh, Ohio, or Chicago. -
Wow, I was way off!
