My Central Thread

What kind of truck does central drivers usually drive

 

Use to be Volvo 670's. But they are trading those in and I believe that most will be gone by the end of the year.
New trucks are mostly International prostar's.
Some drivers also end up with off lease aero pete's and KW's.

 

What is the overall rating you guys would give Central? and how many tickets will they allow in the hiring process?

 

Sorry for the delayed answer haven't been in here for a while.

You cant have more than 3 speeding tickets in 3 yrs. I was right at the limit but one of them dropped off just after school started so I'm in the clear. It also depends on what the tickets are too. Anything more serious than speeding and you might not be able to drive.

 

wow, i see central and other companys seem to be staying away from freightliners and going to prostars from all the threads i'm reading, i now it can't be just price but then again, international wants to take maket share away from freightliner real bad, so i hope the new prostar plus works and lasts longer then those shakers and less water links to boot

Hello Central Drivers,

I am posting on here because I am about 5 weeks out from graduating from truck driving school.

Looking for some good feedback about Central.

Stevens has me as a pre-hire but I am not 100% sold on them.

I know I am driving myself crazy, but I hope to find a good company that has a good training program for graduates closer to Arizona.

So I will take honest feedback and PM me if you want.
