i did a very brief time at such a job... YOU load up your truck, YOU prepare all the paperwork. you get to the place, YOU unload and then set up the equipment, like remove the lines from the spent tanks, and put them on the charged tanks. you collect the money if they pay at time of delivery. at least this is what i had to do. when at "the shop", you may also be refilling the propane bar-b-que tanks as well, what ever they need you to do. the money sounds about right for starting...i only got paid $12.00, but that was back in the early 1990's....

I did time in the bulk division...... the good news is that they are currently the subject of a hostile takeover by Air Products. That should close this year and A/P s a much better / better run company.
Good future potential.

Also i have a good chance at working with an oil company doing deliveries.. Question is, How many stops do oil delivery drivers make a day? Right now im doing all 5 boroughs of new york and the owner expects me back in 8 hours or less with 17 stops...lol.. And if god forbids i do any overtime she is up my behind about it...

Whats a " borough" Borrow? Hole in the ground for rabbit? Yankee term for a town?
-
bronx, brooklyn, manhattan, queens, long island, and sometimes new jersey

NYC is divided into 5 boroughs...districts within the city.

I would advise to stay away from this company.Had several friends that worked for them, ones still with them are unhappy just haven't found something to change to yet. They like to push you to work fast but be sure you don't make any mistakes. They frown on overtime, will try to get work that should take 10-12 hours done in 8hrs.Also once you reach the magic age of 50 you better be prepared to find work elsewhere as they start looking for some reason to get rid of you. This is a fact as I know personally of three separate incidents of this happening. You can find a better company as they don't respect their drivers.
