Simply that I had no choice but to visit the radio shop on the weekend, as I needed the radio channels on the next trip. VHF radios are locked, and can't be programmed by the user.

Hence, the kid got a ride-along.

Sharing a confined space can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. As long as you and your driving partner are able to get along well, then it's not so bad at times.

I teamed with my father for about three months. I smoked, then. He did not. And, he has to have thee MOST awful smelling flatulence I, or anyone has ever had the priviledge of experiencing. It, literally, makes your eyes water. After three months of putrid foggings & nicotine fits, we decided it wasn't going to work. Besides, we weren't really getting any more miles, as a team, than as we would solo. So, he bought a truck for me to drive. I wore it out, and moved on.
