All the new trucks have APU's. The whole fleet should have APU's by the a end of 2011.

I have a very good friend that went to Mavrick 3 years ago and is still there and loves it. i can't pull a flatbed anymore because I broke my back in the oilfield 3 years ago so tarping is out of the question.

I have been with Maverick for almost 2 years and love it. It is a company that cares about you as a driver. I needed to get home for a Dr's appt and they deadheaded me over 300miles just so I could make my appt. I doubt many if any companies will do that. I don't know if TMC does this but here at Maverick we get a fuel bonus every quarter and over the past 20 months I have been here I have been hung out about 10 times. Four of those times were my fault because when I was a new driver and didn't manage my time correctly; it cost me on Friday. The day I should've been headed to the house. If you want a black and chrome truck go to TMC. If you want to get charged out of your own pocket because you didn't wash your truck during the week, go to TMC. If you want to pull into a yard, have the inside of your truck inspected and get money taken out of your check because it's not in show room shine condition; go to TMC. I have a friend of mine who quit and came to Maverick because of the things I just wrote down; about TMC. If you want a great flatbed company to work for that cares about you as a driver/person come to Maverick. That's my two cents.

I average around 2400 miles per week. Some weeks are better than others. Right now is a slow time because of the election. When you get your own truck and you have a week where you don't get alot of miles, just be patient and good miles will come. For instance, there were two weeks where I averaged 1600 to 1900 miles two weeks in a row. However, in one month I had over 3000 miles 3 weeks in a row. On those weeks everything fell right in place. Example, I got loaded and unloaded quick. I also did my break at either the shipper or receiver. I'm in the US division; so I'm not familiar with how the loads are for long haul or the miles. From what I understand long haul does the same runs as everyone else.
