That's a good point ... but I think the OP just had one too many mouth breathers staring at them from the cab over.

My first month I made the mistake of glancing over to the side W/O curtains just to experience some trucker's moonsong first thing in the morning ...

Bought some curtains that day ... :biggrin_25525:

I think it goes beyond "pushing". More like controlling.
Thy (government's) will be done, and no matter what, the ends are said to justify the means, even if it means jail time for a victimless crime. But when the punishment is far worse than the crime it kinda makes one go
Hmmmmmmmmm -------- who's REALLY in control and who's out of it?

You didn't specify whom you're askin', so just in case it was me the answer is yes, I am "retarded" --- in some respects, and advanced in others. Timing is very important so I try to go off a few degrees BTDC.
One thang I ain't is normal.
    Thank gawd.
If I only have one life to live
    let me live it abnormally.

Especially when the fireflys are doin' their thang. When they are, I kick back in the bunk, prop my feet up on the seats, and watch them lil buggers flittin' round. It's as relaxin' as watchin' fish swim in an aquarium. The best part is I don't have to clean the tank or feed 'em.
I hear ya Buckeye. I know the feelin'.

I mentioned that to one of my dispatchers who used to run garbage in a refer and he suggested parkin' betwixt two well maintained refer units for a stereo effect. I thought he was nutz, but I tried it anyway.
    It worked.
    I slept like a log.
    Imagine that.

I offered my services as a script writer for a Reality Series, --- They said they'd think about it.

As for the peekin' in the windows problem, I solved that by proppin' a life-sized color cardboard poster of Janet Reno in my jump seat. Not only did it solve the prying eyes problem, it also kept the commercial company from knockin' on my door to ask if I "want any".
    It's twue!
    It's twue!

You are exactly right. Nothing real at all about any of the so called reality tv shows.

Since you're on the subject of rants, here's one. I guess more of a question. I'm assuming since this upsets you so much you are one of the guys who has nothing better to do then sit in the driver seat when you're parked and stare out the windshield. I've seen guys do this as I'm walking into a truck stop to shower, eat, or whatever. And when I come out half an hour later, they are in the same position. What in the heck are you doing? talk about creeping people out! Go to bed!

    AfterShock and BNR32 Thank this.

I've never even given the window to window thing a second thought....It's a non problem. I like to line up with the truck next to me just so the line stays fairly straight, That way as the truck stop fills up it's not as difficult for guys to park.
As far as some idiot sitting there staring at me....So what? I sit in the seat and do paperwork and mess around on my computer and sometimes I turn and sit with my back to the door watching TV from the drivers seat...If someone wants to watch me doing that...That's their problem!

When I go to bed I have a curtain for my cab so that I don't have to see all the lights coming in and out of the truckstop and so that the other drivers don't have to watch me getting ready for bed...It also keeps the cold from radiating off of the glass and into the cab which allows me to leave the truck shut off thereby saving fuel...Besides it's nice to shut it off and sleep in reletive peace.

what about at a receiver, earlier this week i got not one but 2 large extremely hairy shirtless guys on either side! just hanging out, wearing nothing. well one at least had pants hahaha. when your in a dock you cant back up much and i dont use my curtains unless im parking a whole day.

i agree with what the guy is saying i know its dumb but i have a weird thing about being watched too, dont even know why. i always try to park in the back and/or away from everyone. by the time it fills up the lights are out and im sleeping.

Only park in angled slots? ...

Another matter is the ones that don't pull all the way up in middle rows, essentially taking two spaces in crowded stops ... or forcing the guy behind to hang way out - risking a hood in the morning.
