Two thumbs up on that one. It's loud, cancels out noise to the listener better than the majority of units out there, is compact, and has great clarity.

I wound up ordering the Pro, it seems to be doing fine so far. The Pro plus from what I read was pretty much an upgraded Pro. It has A2DP technology which will let you stream music, podcasts and even GPS directions if your phone has that capability. The headset comes with a 1 year trial membership of Vocalyst. Vocalyst basically enables you to use voice commands to check e-mails, text messages, Twitter feeds, etc. You can also reply by just talking into the headset. I don't yet know how much this membership is after the trial year. I didn't need anything this sophisticated, I just wanted to be able to make and receive calls and not have a bunch of road or truck noise coming through to whomever I am talking to. I used it today for the first time and it seemed to do just fine even in windy conditions. The only down side I see so far is that it fits behind your ear. So wearing glasses or sunglasses could pose a problem. I was able to work it out today where the safety glasses I have to wear while loading just nestled right in beside the Pro.

Cajun, unfortunately I think the Jawbone is still your best bet. Bose has a new one out, but its eargell style. I have one of those monster blueparrott things in my truck, I hate the #### thing actually, but I still use it. I just NEVER take it out of the vehicle lol.
My all time favorite is the Motorola H700. You can get the Chinese knock offs on eBay for about $20. You cant tell the difference between the fake and the real things. Bad part, they generally only last half a year before they quit working. Of course sound quality is way less. But, I do love the easy on/off feature, and its super easy to install on your ear. Matter of fact you can do all of the above with just 3 fingers from one hand.
I keep two in my truck. The big stupid looking parrot for when im going down the road, and the little H700 for every where else. They now have an H710, H715 and H720 which are supposed to be noise cancelling, but I haven't tried them yet. -
I have a Silverado Blue over the head set with boom mike that works great. Was just reading a poll about bluetooth devices in Landline mag. Favorites seem to be the Jawbone, Blue Parrott and Plantronics Voyager Pro. I used to own a call center with 50 people on the phones 18 hours a day and IMO Plantronics products are overpriced and over rated.

Several years ago I purchased the blue Parrott VX 150 after hearing everyone sing its praises. Unfortunately it turned out to be nothing more than high-priced junk. After exchanging it a couple of times I gave up on it. The main problem was the battery would not hold a charge for more than a few minutes. Over a period of time I heard this complaint from a lot of drivers. Since then I have tried several including the jawbone. While the battery life was great the sound, both sending and receiving, wasn't that good. I have been running without a head set for quite some time partly because everyone I talked to that has one sounds like crap. Just recently after hearing several drivers rave about the blue parrot VX 250 I thought I would give it another try and ordered one from Amazon. Couldn't be happier, the sound, on both ends, is great and the battery life is fantastic. I am now wearing hearing aids but haven't tried them yet with the blue parrot. I'm sure they will work a lot better than with something like the jawbone or one of the in ear models. considering my past experience with the blue parrot products I would purchase the headset from an online store like Amazon that has a good return policy. I may have lucked out and got one that actually works and the rest are junk, like my first one, I don't know. Part of the original problem was I bought it from loves fuel stop and they have no refund policy on electronics. I think pilots the same way. Anyway it took me over two weeks to exchange a nonworking one for what they said was a brand-new working one. Every loves I stopped at was sold out and would not refund my money on the defective one. I had to hunt for a loves fuel stop that had one in stock so I could exchange it. The one I finally ended up with had been returned previously and was also defective. I contacted blue parrot and they refused to exchange it and said I had to return it to the place I bought it from, which no longer had any in stock. Kind of like Catch-22. So far though, keep my fingers crossed, this one is working out very well.

I've had a Jawbone Prime for about 6 months now, Love It! Replaced a Motorola H700 which wasn't bad, but Prime is far superior.

I have seen Bose advertising one lately. Anyone have any experience with it? I know their other products are prety good.

OK...let me know from anyone above the model you have. I have a hearing disorder and my husband (who drives while I dispatch) has a really LOUD Jake Brake, so I need to be able to turn it up and have noise cancellation. THANKS!
GEARS: Blue Parrot ...
Sequolia: What model?
Gutwrench: MotorTrend?
