this is my experience i had so yours could be different!!! well i got my cdl in April of 2010 ,and had 3 different jobs since then ( PRIME INC , AMBELA TRANS, AND UPS) that puts me at 8 months of trucking ,and 3 different jobs ,i went to apply for different companys and they ALL ask me why did you changes so many jobs and would not hire me !!! but one company hired me (TA) so my advice is STAY WITH ONE COMPANY FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN, OR FACE THE PHONE CALLS THAT I FACED , just try to help the new drivers dont screw your self over by jumping from one company to another

A good example of not planning your future. Sorry you have to learn after the fact.

No offense, but if someone needs to be told that there's little hope for them anyway.

I'd love to hear the reasons you left three companies so quickly though.

Three companies in one year throws a huge red flag up to prospective employers.

The majority of you new drivers need to try driving local first. Starting OTR and you will end up like the O/P

I disagree. Working local (if you can find a local job) won't do any better for someone that has a tough time staying at one place.

lets start with prime inc ,they told me that i needed 60,000 miles with a trainer to be on my own ,which ened up being a never end 60,000 miles ,emty miles did not count and i was allways missing 500-700 miles a week that counted towards my 60.000 but i would get paid for 500-700 miles that where missing they just would not show on my weekly report for the 60,000 ???
ambela transport -car hauler company_ well two words poor equipment!! 5000 dollars worth of tickets at one weight station and this was my first trip with this company !!
UPS -was hired for the peak season and was let go after the season ,so thats why i ended up with three companys in 8 months
