I never said it was funny. I stated that it was a joke, Jokes can be stupid and that one was for sure stupid. Unfortunately some people take this person for real. Any credibility the CB world gets is hurt by people that believe this guy is being serious. I am sure he was being funny in his mind. I am a active ham my self and I wasn't offended one bit. Take a breath now.

This was posted to belittle hams My reply was it makes CBers look stupid . Your right the guy only hurt them and this has been widely used on HAM forums to BELITTLE CB ......

 

I think the youtube clip was supposed to be a spoof. I don't think it was intended to make ham look bad and CB look better.

Rest assured not all CB operators think like this/have a mentality like this.

 

I am not a ham but I am a redneck truck driver and I think the guy is a complete dork. I did not even crack a grin. I actually stopped the vid within a few seconds.

I have lived in the south for 42 years mostly in Florida and Kentucky.
My wife is a KENTUCKY HILLBILLY ..... and proud of it ......

I was born in NEW YORK CITY and finshed Electronic school there before going in the ARMY so i'm a TRANSPLANTED Yankee .... AKA DAMMM YANKEE .... However even YANKEES produce good people.

The problem is WE as RADIO OPERATORS don't need a class war using REDNECK or any other group to belittle large numbers of people for some stupid cause like they love to do on QRZ.COM .....

That does nothing to help the fact we need to intrest YOUNG people in the radio hobby before us old phoggys die out ........

I got my first license at 14 and my first Shortwave radio at 10 ... I built crystal sets with my older brother in the mid 50's as a small kid .... My older, younger brother and myself all have EXTRA CLASS ham licenses but again we are in our 60's now .....
