I'm looking for a new company cann't find any thing local.just like to know how they treat there driver's.

They have no APUs, and will be getting EZpass within the next month or so.

Well driver I wish you luck. If there mode of operation is still the same...you will run well for a couple of months and then slowly but surely your miles will dwindle.
Here are some words of advice:
Make sure you scan in your cat scale ticket that has the time stamp on it otherwise you will NOT get re-imbursed.
If you end up having to deadhead GET APPROVAL for the miles so that you get paid for them...if it doesn't have a trip number YOU WON'T GET paid.
make sure you document ANY and ALL damage to your truck before leaving with it....otherwise YOU will be responsible for the damage.
When you get to Laredo...make your PTA for the minute you drop that wagon...otherwise you will be sitting for days ( they won't tell you that)
Make sure you get a handful of gladhand seals in Laredo you will have to put seals in the trailer...the mexican drivers steal them when they drop the wagons and go back across the border.
There are other things to be wary of but those are some of the main things. ...... -
so what happens if its 32 degrees outside? you just have to keep craking up your truck every four minutes until your 10 hr break is up so you dont freeze to death?????????

there are several things you can do
1. get a sleeping bag rated for -20 below zero.
2. keep some coffee cans and burn a large 3 wick candle in them
3. the prostars have bunk heaters that work independent from the engine
from what I was told by some friends the heat works real well but the a/c doesn't work too well
if there is a top bunk hang a sleeping bag up blocking the back wall it will help give more insulation -
######! Sounds like sillydon puts you in the trenches. What a shame...

Well when I drove for them we could still idle but guys were getting fired for high idle time. At least Werner had the decency to put APU's on some of the trucks ...they were the only ones that had the automatic shut downduddie Thanks this.
