Danc you may be onto something here. I agree. We only have little's word as to how the situation was. I come from NJ and I know how people drive there. I don't know from what state little is from but I can tell you the tri state area. Pa, NJ, NY is full of crazy drivers. But I'll say one thing if in fact this truck was continually bumping you from behind if it were me I would have found a place to pull over out of his way. :smt017

Anything can happen out on the road. Whatever happened, it was not a game. You should stop obsessing about it. Would you be obsessed about it had it happened with another passenger vehicle, such as an Escalade or a Hummer? Its not like you are being stalked. Just let it go. If it were such a big deal, someone on the road with you that day would have obtained some information about the truck, and remained behind with you when you pulled over, to either contact the police and/or comfort you while you made the call. I'm not saying it didn't happen, it just seems highly preposterous.
As others have said already, you seem unwilling to accept any explanation. How long ago did this happen? Did you take photos of the damage? Were you on a toll road? What kind of truck was it-short hood or long hood? What kind of trailer-van, temperature control, flatbed? Its odd you can't remember any details, even something as insignificant as color. Anyone who has a traumatic experience can remember at least something about the incident. -
I never once used the word rude. I've never once spoken poorly of truckers. Sympathy? From who?
Seeking sympathy from strangers is like getting a straight answer from a politician.
If the simple answer here is, "I don't know," then so be it.
Calling 911 would've been a GREAT idea, however, should I have used my trusty shoe phone?
I don't use nor would I ever, a cell phone. I'm able to spend time alone in my car or where ever w/o constantly being in communication with another human being.
At any rate. I do thank you all for reading this.
I'm certain it was all my fault. Sure.
I'm getting treated like a rape victim on the stand?
It was my fault.
What should i've done.
Blah blah blah.
I'm not looking to find the guy and kill him.
I merely wanted to understand things like this.
I know truckers and other occupations have "things" about their job.
I watched convoy, BJ and the bear. (that was a joke if you people get jokes) At any rate.
Let's just do what rape victims do and pretend it never happened. -
Sheesh, a couple of you are sure pretty hard for someone just posting what their experience was. I like the shoe phone thing.......remember Max?

Exactly. Lighten up folks I don't think this thread has deserved some of the comments that were given in defense of the truck driver. We don't know the details of what happened, we weren't there. Littlekia was, and I don't take from their account of things that they are trying to be anti truck driver. -
You guys are right...I took it entirely too seriously and made snide, harsh remarks. Let me take another go at it.
Littlekia, sorry. I have been driving truck for a little over 7 years. I have never, and will never, push a car like that. I wasn't there and you were.
I sometimes forget that car drivers aren't professional drivers and the likely hood you would have a camera just laying around is pretty slim.
Its unfortunate you were unable to get any of the truck drivers info.
Judging from how you explained the incident, he was unaware of what he was doing to you.
My best advice? Remember that just like in your car, trucks have blind spots. Our blind spots are larger areas and we have several a car wouldn't. If you find yourself in a similar situation again and all you can see is grill, slide a little to the left so the driver can be sure to see you. And when you slide to the left tap your brakes lightly, just enough to light up your brake lights. This way, if the driver is for some reason unaware you are in front of him, moving to the left will put you back in his line of sight, and tapping the brakes will add to your visibility. And also, tapping the brakes will usually cause the person behind you to back off because they are not sure if you are stopping or what.
Again, sorry. -
I Am with you hear on this . i cant belive some you people on here , if it was me i would of not though to call 911 . i know some of you truck drivers think oh you stupid 4 wheelers. you know what yall where all 4 wheelers your self at one time . i never once heard her say anything bad about the person she just wonted to know what yall though about it . and hello where was she going to pull over to get out of the way ,if this driver had her from behind , and how she going to see what name or number on the truck when there from behind and ya they went buy her but she was so upset she didnt see , there may have been a misunderstanding on both parts but yall might be biger then us and we need to watch for you truck driver but i think yall need to watch for us to ,belive me just in the little time my hubby has been driving he as told me a lot that i never new and i have the most respect for truck driver more then i already had but when some one get on here to tell you something that happen and ask for help in understanding what might of happen . it dont mean put us that dont drive truck down for what we dont understand and ask for help .
thats my 2 cents -
Point is: she is NOT a professional driver so I, or anyone else, should not expect her to have a camera or phone or the training to know what info she should have got if she could have, let alone where to find it on the truck.
Before I started driving truck I didn't pay attention to what company a truck belonged to, now I wish I would stop remembering. I can remember a truck or car that was acting wrong, down to the plate, long after they are gone, because I was TRAINED to observe these things.
Like I already said, in my opinion, based on what she said, the driver didn't realize, for whatever reason, that she was there. Probably couldn't see her becasue he was riding close to prevent anyone from cutting in. -
See Kia when you waived back he probably got the wrong impression...

It's commonly refered to as situational awareness. You either have it, learn it, or as our original poster has found out...you may die, or at the very least be involved in an accident.
And, I stand by my original comments. Because.... I said it...I believe it. Just as she believes this was a deliberate attempt by a truck driver to play a game.
She now returns to the board, and compares us to people who disbelieve rape case victims. Sympathy...and it worked too. Look at the number who backed down. And for what reason? Because she called you on it.
Our original post were sympathetic, and we tried to explain how it could have occured without the drivers knowledge...IE accident.
She continues with the ....BAD trucker, now including the members who have commented on her continued attempts at trying to get sympathy and reinforcement of her belief that the truck driver done this intentionally.
Having 3 members of my family raped in the past, and having her state that the people who tried to provide her some closure on this issue as being like others who do not believe rape victims.....pretty much tells me what she is about.
Again this is not about whether the event happened. No one has accused her of lying. It is about whether it was intentional or a game...See her original post!!!
