Okay, what's "Toronto backing", as in being able to pass a Toronto backing pre-hire test. Thank-you in advance. :biggrin_2558:

:biggrin_25524: I know of no such animal, and I've been driving for almost 20 years. Maybe I've been hiding in my truck to long for the new(or old) lingo to sink in. If you find out....pass it on please.

The closest thing I can think of that would even be considered relavent to this "terminology" Would be the "mushroom" backing test LOL.. Not meant for a joke and It's not an actual test.

I briefly describe what I am refering to.

Like mushroom farms, much of Toronto is underground. As such, many trucks have to be backed into the facility...very slowly. Most underground mushroom farms require guides though, and are extremely tight! The lower facilities in the Toronto area (like electronics exhibits) require backing down spiraling garage ramps to the floor of choice. Sometimes several stories underground.

While I am sure this is NOT even remotely what you are asking....Once again, I hope you can see the humour in it (albeit true), and pass the info along if you do find out what it is.

I'll track it back to the source, (one of many many recruiters visiting our school left a flyer with this listed as a hiring requirement). I'll try and get it on by tomarrow. Thanks for the combax. Stay cool.

Actually the brousure lists as a requirement, "Must pass a Toronto back exam with score of ten or less". So maybe it's a physical thing. It's Bay and Bay of of Minnesota. I'm waiting for the reply.

:mbeard: Otaaay. Now that you have that out of the way. LMAO

I don't know what that back exam consist of. But I'm sure it'll be okay. You should need no further training on this issue.

But if it is anything remotely like my most recent Physical. Be sure to have a heating pad....maybe even a tube of Bengay at the house when you get home.

    :biggrin_25524: I was sore for 2 days.

Was that by chance a "work-well" exam?

I don't know what mine was called. But I was lifting boxes of weights to varying heights, crawling on all fours, grip test, tread mill for 5 minutes, climbing stairs, pushing boxes of weights, pulling boxes of weights (no wheels on any box), standing on one foot or the other for 2 minutes at a time, squats...etc etc etc.

I was wondering where the Army recruiter was hiding at in the room.:biggrin_25515:
