Keeping the weight off is definately a struggle at times. I had Thyroid Cancer and had to have my Thyroid removed 5 years ago, so that doesn't help! But I really try to still follow my RNY lifestyle...I still eat very little sugar(as I still have the dumping syndrome), and I have a hard time w/ meat and bread, so I don't eat much of either of those. I have a few friends that also had the surgery not long after I did and 2 have gained back everything they have lost and then some....makes me feel bad for them!
I also fight anemia...I had to have a blood transfussion a few years ago because my hemoglobin was 4! I now get B12 injections monthly and once a year I get an iron transfussion. Have you had any absorbtion problems?
Sorry I just realized I have hi jacked your thread!!

No absorbtion problems (yet) although I'm taking 60mg of Bariatric Advantage Iron and my ferriton is just starting to creep back up (14) it never got into the 'low' range, but it was headed that way. Other than that - I do have 'reactive hypoglycemia' - so can't do the simple carbs without my bloodsugar dropping. Klingon hasn't pushed it - (like I have) - so not sure if he 'dumps'. The only meat we have had trouble with is chicken breast - LOL! Love me my burnt animal flesh (PETA = people eating tasty animals)!! Our B12 is doing OK and same with the other labs. Getting them checked while on the road is going to be fun though - LOL! We still do our protein supplements too - We try to get at least 80-100mg/day. How about you? -

Well... we are in SLC now... picked up some food at Walmart and then came by the yard and got a little service done on the truck and then bbq'd chicken and pork chops for the week....
So if anyone there sees a truck with big eagles on the sides or a guy in a black beanie hat and an orange coat... stop and say 'Hi' -

Hey, just a quick note. I just found your thread and I will be following along. My wife and I just finished orientation with US Xpress and I am out with my trainer now. My wife is in Chattanooga waiting on her trainer. My first full day of driving was Sunday from Oklahoma to Denver in the snow. Very interesting day to say the least. Looking forward to seeing your story unfold. Best of luck.
