That doesn't seem all that fast. 1000m is 1 km. I think I could get my truck going near 160km/h in a 1 km. I had it going like 140km in less then 400m

Heck thats nothing , there is a 35 year old RETIRED trucker on this site that had a stock VOLVO 780 with DD that had so much TORQUE it TWISTED the sleeper off the truck.

Guess I should have started with " Ya All Aint Goin to Believe this but !"

It's average speed, top speed was something like 250km/h.

There's also a faster truck in europe with 170+ average but it was not official record. It had 1800 hp Cat C-12.
Then there is Aussie with twin 8V92detroits and nitrous that is even faster, approved by Guinness, Volvo was approved by FIA.
It's easy to make records when you make your own rules..

Ah I c. Sure looks like it goes pretty good but I sure wasn't impressed by 160km/hr in a km lol.

I'm interested to know how you make 1900HP with mostly stock parts... can't do that with a CAT. Would that be a road worthy setup or just a racing setup?

I think come Canadians have done about same numbers with Cats but with lots of smoke.

1900hp roadworthy? It depends. You can't use that high power for a long period when climbing mountains etc. but I believe you can work it if you can keep your foot out of it. That Volvo engine seems to run quite nice, no jerking and chattering like some amateur tuned Cats you can see on Youtube.
