Wisconsin Man OK After Truck Runs Over His Head

So the guy's on a bicycle, he sees the truck preparing to make a turn, but he KEEPS DRIVING? What an idiot!

 

Who was the idiot? The bicycle? Nope. He didn't keep driving, he slammed on his brakes. The truck driver the one who kept driving and the bicycle said he had the right of way. I wonder if they caught the truck driver who ran his head over.

 

Without having been there it's impossible to know what exactly transpired, of course, but still... If the bicyclist fell off his bike when he slammed on the brakes, doesn't that mean he must have been awfully fast and too close to the truck already?When I'm riding a bicycle, common sense tells me that I can't rely on other road users seeing or wielding to me, even if I have the right of way. Since I"m the one without the crush zone, I need to pay extra attention.
