depends on where the freight is and how much you go home, Im averaging about 2500-3000 a week, did 2700 miles last week, this week will be 3600+. Im not sure what company drivers are getting as far as pay increases.

Not exactly, you are missing the per diem. It's more like this..(non taxable) .08 x miles = per diem pay and (taxable) .20 x miles - 10-20% tax = taxable income. Then per diem + taxable income = total pay.

mikley,,don't mean to be a pain but i'm been thinking very seriously about driving for a while... are you company or lease,,and I see you've been driving for about a year,,if I went in now what could i expect paywise on average,,again i've been following here for awhile and i see there's alot a play, mostly from what i've seen is attitude,,willing to put the work in ,,understanding you have to take the good with the bad runs

I am a lease op. Paise you should expect to take home $350-$500/ week for the first 3 months or so. You need about 3 months of no driver relates problems then you get rated higher which in turn means more miles. So don't expect a whole lot for the first few months until you establish yourself with your fleet manager and planners. Central does have its problems but its not a bad company either. Yeah, they leased up my pay a few times but they always corrected the problem within a day.

I was told by a dispatcher that my company is doing a non-published pay raise for me and others hired after June 2008. I guess they lowered the pay for regional drivers by .02 at that time. Now they are giving it back.
So I will be at .41 cpm now.

Well it was fun while it lasted, had an awesome truck, but there was how should we say it, Financial problems. Ok my paycheck BOUNCED, so I cleaned the truck out last night. I already talked to Werner again, I left on good terms, they are going to take me back as a rehire Walmart here I come, LOL.

I don't work for free, there is no exscuse for a settlement to bounce, the boss was a nice guy, but I think he was counting on freight contracts he didn't have and over extended . Although he said he hopes to be running again by July, I will always have a truck if I want to come back since I live so close to his yard.

But for now at least I have a job.

I'm a Company Driver. I see on average with dead head and paying miles about 2000-2300 a week. After the .20cpm and the .08cpm per diem I take home roughly around 500 Now that is as long as I turn in all my receipts and I don't take the 100 cash advance. That will get you every time. Your short on money that's the quickest way to get yourself in trouble.

I rarely go home so the mileage per week isn't too much of a problem.
