Probably because of this comment that you made. Anytime they look at paperwork, they look at the driver and his records and such.

Most scales in Ca. will pass you through IF you tell them/prove it that you have been inspected within the last 30 days. It's not a law or anything, but a courtesy to the driver. Keep that inspection sheet with you for 30 days.

Actually keep a copy of it as they should be handed in to safety and returned to the state within 30 days and some even sooner! But do tell them I was just inspected on so and so BUT and seriously if you get a write up for even minor stuff GET IT FIXED ASAP!
OR get pulled around back and then hand the officer the copy (which is actually on the states network from when they did the one you handed them!) and it shows say light needs fixing, oil leak, or something and here you are and none of those things were fixed guess what?
Yep I'll bet you a dime to a donut he'll ask you did you get them fixed, you'll say..
.no sir,
He'll look at you for oh maybe 15 seconds as if someone just made a nasty smell in the room and then go inspect you again and might just find something the other officer missed!
Now you and XYC Trucking has 2 inspections, with the same now called "outstanding" problems and the fines go up!
Hopefully XYZ doesn't hold the "not getting anything fixed" against you which from the way things are going these days and from reading in here it's happened and more often than not! And that's after telling them you need to get things fixed! -
May Trucking must have a high CSA score....
CSA is like golf...The lower your score the better...... -
#####....I guess I should stop with all the cop jokes then.....
