Rightfully it shouldn't. However; they may have been spiteful & put "abandonment" on you DAC.
When you turned their truck in do you get a signed document from them stating that you turned the truck in?
If you didn't, this mat be a problem, though I wouldn't give up & explain what really happened to a prospective employer.
For future reference; whenever you turn a truck in, always get a signed document verifying you turned it in. If they deny you, call the police & have them come to the terminal & document your complaint that the carrier "refused to sign" you turned in the truck. Keep that doc for # least 10 years.
BTW; Were you working for the same "Arrow company" that stuck it real good to all their drivers around Christmas in '08? I'd be sure to point this out to any prospective employer when the question your DAC.
Hope this helps.

No, I did not get anything signed. And yes, it was "that" Arrow company.
-
If you would listen , all that is immaterial...........
the company is gone, no more arrow !!!!!
Nothing on DAC except dates you worked there!!!!!! -
Arrow is all gone,
all DAC can list is the dates you worked there !!!! -
This is true. I unfortunately got sucked in by that "company" (translation: gaggle of #$$clowns) in March 2008. Didn't last three months and had to bail. I ran my DAC and it just showed the dates. -
Thanks to all the responses. Hopefully I can get back up and going. Everyone be safe.
123456 Thanks this. -
